Printmaking:
You will be exploring the world of printmaking, where everything is created in reverse.  The process is relief printing; it is one of the oldest printmaking methods in the world.  Relief printing can be traced all the way back to the Egyptians and the Chinese people around 500 BC.  They were using woodblocks and stone.  You will be using a much softer material called safety-cut.  Relief printmaking is one of the many printing processes useful in the commercial and art world.

Magic Fiber Creations: Felting
Felting wool is the world's oldest method of creating fabric.  Using water, soap and friction, wool fibers are magically tangled together into a strong durable and versatile fabric.  You will create a small wall hanging and other small objects using sheep's wool and your own two hands.  While you are felting we will talk about the history of felt and fiber, sheep, shepherding and creating art.
