HOME ALONE: ARE YOU READY?


Planning to leave your kids home alone for the first time? Sign them up for Home Alone: Are You Ready?

NDSU Extension Ramsey County, Lake Region Public Health, and other community partners are offering this educational opportunity for youth ages 9-12.  This class will cover basic information kids need to stay safe and healthy while home alone.

Youth will learn emergency preparedness, fun ways to stay active, healthy snack ideas, basic first aid, internet safety, and much more.  Each participant will assemble their own first aid kit to take home.  Two sessions available, either morning or afternoon.
 

AGE: Must be at least 9 years of age and up.
LOCATION: Basement Meeting Room of the
Ramsey County Courthouse in Devils Lake.
DATE: June 6
TIME: 8:30-11:30 am or 12:30-3:30 pm.
COST: $10.00

BABYSITTING: MY FIRST JOB

Are you new to to the babysitting world, looking to brush up on your babysitting skills, or wanting to start a babysitting business? This is the class for you!

During this one day course, youth will learn how to safely and responsibly care for infants and children.  Youth will learn hands-on how to hold/handle infants, diapering, bottle-feeding, safety, discipline, how to manage a babysitting business, and more!  Successfully complete the curriculum of the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED Program.
