The Acme County Recreation and Park District is approximately 20 square miles, serving the communities of Fakeland, Falseplace, Nowheresville, and Sample ranch, as well as unincorporated areas within ReplaceThisVille. The District was formed as a special district from a local voter initiative. Recreation and Park Districts provide recreational opportunities as a local government function within a specific boundary and provide services at the highest levels of accountability and responsibility to the public. The district has been dedicated to providing residents with park facilities and programs of exceptional quality since 1954.
The district is an independent recreation and park district governed by a five member Board of Directors. The District currently owns, operates, and maintains five neighborhood parks, a 10,000sq ft Recreation Center, 2 miles of hiking trails and 70 acres of open space, as well as, offering a variety of programs and services.
Devils Lake Park Board is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
